8th Grade
This is my "Mi Horario Diario" Prezi, made in my 8th Grade Spanish 1 class. This project is a great example of how hard-working I am as a student. This was the very first project that we have ever done in Spanish class, and our project had to be written entirely in Spanish. We had to write about our daily schedule at school, and what each class is like. This was a challenge for me, I must admit, because Spanish is not my native tongue, and it was quite hard for me to finish this project due to that. The grammar, punctuation, and overall feel of Spanish is different from English, and having to write up multiple paragraphs of Spanish was going to be a challenge. Even though, I gave it my best, double-checked my work over and over again, and I was able to come up with a project that I am proud of.
This is my "La Ciudad" Video Project created in my 8th Grade Spanish 1 class. I created this with the help of my partner, Linda Dema. I chose to put this into my portfolio because it is a great example of how well I can work with another person. For this video, we had to talk about common places a person would go in the city. Every single word of this video had to be in Spanish, and not only did we have to write everything in Spanish, but we also had to say everything in Spanish! We were graded not only on the correct grammar of the sentences, but also on our pronunciation of the words! This meant that both of us had to exert a good amount of effort into this project. The collaboration was key to the success of the project, and as you can see, this is reflected in how our project turned out.
