6th Grade
This was my Chapter 3 test, taken in my 6th Grade, Math 6/7 Honors class. This test included a wide range of topics, from solving proportions to finding slopes of lines along with much more. This item is a great item for my portfolio, because it shows that have a great knowledge of some of the most important and crucial math skills, which shows that I have a very solid foundation in the subject of math. In this test, I also had to analyze complex story problems, and I got all of them correct. This showcases my analyzation skills, and how I can understand and solve real-life situations with my current knowledge of math. Also, when I got a 100%, it really showed that I am very precise, careful, and accurate with my math. This math requires a lot of precision and accurate calculations in order to get a problem correct. One small slip, and the whole problem is incorrect. I never like to rush in these situations, and therefore I do well. It shows that I care about doing my best in my work, making it a great item for my portfolio.

This assignment is my Chapter 3 Test, taken in my 7th Grade, Math 7/8 Honors Class, and I believe that it is a great representation of my academic achievements. This was my very first time learning about this subject matter in math, so this proved to be quite interesting. I only had some prior knowledge, if any at all, to help me comprehend this brand new information that was being thrown at me. Despite that slight setback, I was able to learn the subject, and excel in it, as shown by this test. This test shows my knowledge of solving multi-step equations, comprehending and solving word problems, and explaining my thinking. Overall, this assignment shows my skill of absorbing and learning new information quickly and accurately.

This is my Chapter 10 Math Test, completed in my 7th Grade, Math 7/8 Honors Class. This assignment it a great representation of me as a learner, because this test was about exponents and scientific notation. I have had some previous experience with exponents, but not much with scientific notation. Despite this problem, I listened in class, worked hard at home and really took in all the knowledge that was presented to me. This shows that I am very hard-working. When it came time for the test, I was well prepared, and completed the test with flying colors. There was also a hard extra-credit opportunity, and because I had time, I went for it. I got it correct, and actually boosted my grade up to 105%! Along with that, this type of math requires a lot of careful and meticulous math, for example, on #7. If you make one mistake you can easily get the entire problem wrong. But I was careful, and I got an excellent score on this test.

This is my "Experimental and Theoretical Probability" Prezi, created in my 7th Grade, Math 7/8 Honors Class. This project is great for my portfolio because it shows how I can take my current knowledge and apply it, by making my own "Informational Slideshow" in order to inform those who have no prior experience on the topic to the point that they have a good idea as to what the topic is about. This shows that I care about my learning, because creating a presentation to inform others means that you must know it well enough yourself. So in order to create this presentation, I had to care enough to learn the material, and fully understand it to the point that I can teach others about it as well.

This is my PowerPoint Presentation Chapter 8 Group Project, created in my 8th Grade Algebra I Class. This was completed within my group of three students, which included me, David Fobear, and Salma Abd Elhamid. This really shows how well I can work well with others. There was actually a selection of five different projects that we could to for Chapter 8, one of which was a "Lesson for a Struggling Student." As a group, we had to decide and agree on which project we were going to do, who was going to do what, and when we were going to do it. In the end, our group was able to come up with a great project, reflecting my great teamwork skills.
