This assignment was my "Please Pass the Bread" Lab Report, completed in my 6th Grade Science Class. This report is a great item for my portfolio, because it was my very first lab report. Although it was, I was able to complete it with great accuracy and precision, thus being indicated as "PERFECT" on the scoring rubric. This assignment displays both my writing ability, along with my time management skills. I was given 10 days to complete this assignment, and therefore has to manage my time correctly. I also had to prioritize my work, so that I could complete the assignment on time without any rush. When I was successful in that matter, it shows that I have great time management skills. I am also great at many other skills in science, such as creating a graph to represent my data, and supporting my evidence with thoughtful words. This makes my lab report a great item for my portfolio.

This assignment was my "Writing Experiment" abstract, completed in my 7th Grade Science class. This was my first time writing an abstract in this fashion, and it was slightly different than what I'm used to. Despite that fact, I did very well with my report, and I got a great grade on it. This assignment also represents my great time management skills, which makes it a great item for my portfolio. Dr. Hall go us started on the project, and it was up to us to budget our time well enough to be able finish this project. There was no definite due date, so it was up to you to finish the project. I was able to manage my time well, so that resulted in me turning in the assignment first out of all of my peers. Also, it was completed with high quality. This also shows that I am a responsible student.

These are the notes that I took for our Windmill Debate, which took place in my 7th Grade science class. This artifact is great for my portfolio, because it really reflects my academic achievements. When we did our debate, there were five speakers on two different teams, the pro team, and the con team. I was the last one on my team (Pro Team) which meant that I had to summarize what everybody else has said, and emphasize the key points. This was very hard to do, because there was so much information to talk about in a mere 4 minutes! So I had a challenge before me, and I did my best to confront it. I grabbed the main points, and used multiple visual aids to help support my speech, and stated my resources. On the day of the debate, I was ready to go, and excited. In our speech time, we had the opportunity to rebuttal, and argue about what the person on the opposite team had just said, so it really tested our quick thinking skills. In the end, I was able to execute my speech very fluently, and all of my hard work paid off.

This is my "Architect" Career Project, created in my 8th Grade Science Class. I included this project because it showcases how I am a creative and imaginative student. I chose a format that is both interesting and connected with the topic of architecture, showing that I care about how my presentation looks, and how it reflects on me as a student. This project is also a great example of my ability to research a certain topic, and present it in a way that is both informative and interesting. For this project, we had to chose a science-related career that interested us, and then research all about it. This was quite fun, because we got to dig deeper into a career that interests us, and helps us to see what life would be like in that occupation. As you can see in the Prezi, I spent lots of time and effort researching about the topic, and creating the Prezi, proving that I am a dedicated student that works hard and puts forth my best effort.
